Staying Focused in a Fast-Moving Sector: A Busy Quarter at Pier Solutions
The past few months have been an incredibly busy and rewarding period for Pier Solutions as we continue to support clients across the energy, renewables, and infrastructure sectors — while actively contributing to conversations shaping the future of the industry.
From major industry conferences and sector recognitions to continued delivery of complex site scopes, we’ve stayed true to our mission: combining specialist project delivery with a future-focused mindset.
Industry Events & Thought Leadership
We attended All-Energy 2025 in Glasgow — one of the UK’s largest energy conferences. Our CEO, Jordan Ferguson, took part in an interview hosted by OGV Energy to share insights into Pier’s ongoing contributions to the energy transition, particularly around modular project delivery and integrated battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Our presence at All-Energy wasn’t just about visibility — it was about reinforcing the role SME’s like Pier Solutions can play in accelerating change. We showcased our expertise in design, engineering, fabrication, and the deployment of emerging technologies — working with OEMs and project developers to deliver smarter, scalable solutions.
In addition to All-Energy, the Pier team also supported and participated in a number of other key industry events and discussions — all contributing to Scotland’s evolving energy mix and net zero future. These included our involvement in Scottish Renewables’ Supply Chain Innovation Forum, where Jordan Ferguson was a panelist, joining conversations about unlocking greater local content, improving procurement pathways, and fostering innovation across the supply chain.
We were also proud to lend our support to wider discussions on inclusion, innovation, and collaboration across the sector — from events spotlighting the future of workforce development to those focused on strengthening the green energy ecosystem. These moments of engagement help us ensure we’re not only delivering for today’s needs, but helping shape tomorrow’s solutions.
Recognised in Scotland’s Supply Chain
Another highlight was our inclusion in Scottish Renewables' 2024–25 Supply Chain Impact Statement, which profiles companies making contributions to Scotland’s net zero ambitions.
This recognition reflects not just the projects we’ve delivered, but the way we deliver them — with a focus on local content, skilled employment, and the integration of innovation across our service lines.
Celebrating Talent and Future Leaders
We were also proud to see Pier Solutions represented among the finalists of the Young Professionals Green Energy Awards and NECCUS’ Young Professionals awards with Chloe Giles and Sommer Fuller both being named as finalists, celebrating the next generation of talent helping to transform our sector.
This nomination is a testament to the culture we’ve built — one that empowers individuals, values fresh ideas, and prioritises continual development at every level of the organisation.
Project Delivery: Our Core Focus
While industry events and recognition are rewarding, they’re only part of the picture. Our core focus remains firmly on delivering for our clients — and it’s been an exceptionally active period on that front too.
From offshore scopes to onshore BESS integration and specialist fabrications, our Site Services division and project teams have been working across the UK and beyond, delivering safe, efficient, and technically robust outcomes under challenging conditions.
We’ve also continued expanding our workforce to meet increasing demand, with new roles across electrical, mechanical, and project design engineer disciplines. These additions strengthen our delivery capability while supporting our long-term growth strategy.
Looking Ahead
As we head into the second half of the year, we remain committed to staying agile, building long-term partnerships, and contributing meaningfully to the evolving energy landscape.
We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved this quarter — and we’re excited for what’s to come.
